There are various ways of transportation; car, taxi, bus, train, trishaws, horse carts bicycles ,
airplane or ship. 

Most of the visitors travel by road and air. You can also enjoy a river cruise on the famous
Ayeyarwaday River between ancient capital Mandalay and Bagan and enjoy the natural beauty
of the river and the life on its banks.

One can also hire a small private owned boat for traveling upstream the Ayeyarwady River
to visit towns like Bamaw and Myintkyinar, located in the northern part.

A limited number of places require a government permission to visit.
